I am a recovering journalist, equipment operator, remote-camp manager (Alaska) and jack-of-all-trades. During the course of my disorderly existence, I also have been the father of a brilliant and beautiful daughter (my proudest achievement), a wounded and decorated Veteran (Bronze Star, for "heroism in ground combat" according to the citation), a professional news-photographer, a (political) campaign manager, a dog musher, a labor organizer, a sommelier and a trained First Responder, among other things.
